Prevention Through Education
Originally launched by City Fire Equipment in 1988, Fire Facts began with a simple goal: to help fire officials and enforcement officers better understand the same complex codes fire protection teams work with every day during service, inspections, and repairs.
After the tragic Seton Hall University dorm fire in 2000, that mission took on a new urgency. City Fire hosted the first Fire Facts seminar on campus — marking the beginning of a program dedicated to prevention through education.
Today, with Encore, the initiative has grown well beyond its local roots into a regional seminar series spanning multiple states.
