Our name, Encore, began as a nod to our history, but over the years, it’s taken on a deeper meaning. To us, an ‘encore’ is more than just a call for more; it’s a demand for repeat excellence. It’s our promise to deliver a performance so reliable it earns your trust every single time. We’ve proven ourselves before, and we’re doing it again. But this time we won’t stop until we’re the best fire protection company the industry has ever seen.
The beginning
We started in 1983 as a small sprinkler install operation.
The inflection point
In 1999, the company reached a crossroads familiar to many business owners—how to step away without leaving the people behind. The answer wasn’t to slow down. It was to build. Over the next five years, we grew from a 23-person operation into a 180-person team with multiple product lines. We were positioned to sell, and ready to move on.
The exit
In 2005, we sold to Cintas, fulfilling the promise to do right by the team on the way out.
The encore
Then came something we didn’t see coming… a second chance. In 2009, we were offered the opportunity to buy back what we had built, return to the industry and the people we believed in, and prove we could build something better.
We came back under a new name, Encore, with a clearer sense of purpose than ever before. Fire protection is more than the technical systems we install and maintain. Behind every one of them is a life depending on it. The people we keep safe, the customers who trust us, and our team members who make safety possible every single day.
The way forward
Today, we’re growing with purpose by partnering with owners and teams who share our values and care about this industry as deeply as we do.
