What began in a basement in Allentown has grown into one of the most respected names in fire protection. For over 90 years, Kistler O’Brien Fire Protection has been protecting people and property across the tri-state area—with over 100 service vehicles, 210+ employees, and thousands of customers served.
Founded by George Kistler Sr., our story started with a few fire extinguishers, a mission to make the workplace safer, and the support of part-time City of Allentown firefighters. That same mission still drives us today. Only now, our services go far beyond extinguishers. We design, install, inspect, and service fire alarm, suppression, and life safety systems for businesses of every size.
In 2023, we entered a new chapter by joining forces with Encore Fire Protection. This partnership brings together decades of expertise, deeper resources, and a growing network of life safety professionals across the country. As part of Encore, we’re scaling our impact while staying true to who we are: a trusted partner, rooted in the community, committed to protecting what matters most.
Under the leadership of Scott Guzzo, our team continues to grow—carrying forward the legacy built by George Kistler Sr., George W. Kistler Jr., and Eric Blasser. The technology has changed. The team has grown. But the mission remains the same.
